ジョージ・ソーデンは、1980年代に活躍したデザイナー集団「メンフィス」の創設メンバーの1人としても知られており、当時のポストモダニズムを感じさせるポップなカラーリングです。シェードにはシリコンを採用し、柔らかい光の透過性を実現。取り外しも可能で、お手入れも簡単に出来ます。

George Sowden（ジョージ・ソーデン）
英国生まれのデザイナー、ジョージ・ソーデンは、1970年にミラノに移り、Ettore Sottsass（エットレ・ソットサス）やOlivetti（オリベッティ）と仕事をするようになりました。1981年、ソットサスやNathalie du Pasquier（ナタリー・デュ・パスキエ）ら若手デザイナーとともに、メンフィス・デザイン・グループを設立。2010年にSOWDENを設立し、長年にわたり多くのグローバルブランドのデザイナーや製品開発者として活躍しています。
